When Hurricane Ike was ready to hit the coast of Texas, CNN and Fox reported of a man who would not evacuate one of the hardest hit areas, Surfside Beach.  Ray Wilkinson is his name, although they didn't share that information early on; I sat and wondered if he made it or not.

He did make it according to this article.  I'm sure that my method of riding it out would have been more prayer and less beer, but of course I would have never stayed anyway.  Tornadoes are scary enough here in Tennessee, much less a storm that has similar winds but sustained for a longer amount of time.  No thank you!
