ramblings

I'm in a football pool at work. There are maybe 15-20 of us, and maybe 20% are women. Tracey did really well last week, and I'm glad. She's still not beating my boss, HH, yet. We all want HH to lose because he won the whole thing last year. I keep steady week to week, but I'd really like to win one at LEAST and two to break even and make some money. Oh well. I was suprised that my pick for Buffalo panned out, but my own Titans won (I bet for Jacksonville) and Carolina killed Arizona (I went for Arizona). I got the rest right. Brandon is ahead by one and I went for KC to beat NE. (Another upset if I win). I don't know if I'm going to do this again next year. It's kind of expensive over the long term, and I think that it's hard to predict what's what.

I'm still in major debate over the "thing" I've been debating for years. I think I'm going to go ahead and go for it. Tracy and I are both off work, I've got the cashed saved, and I think that it's the time of the year. Plus if I keep thinking about it, I'll talk myself out of it because I could use that money for some other debt. (Namely, the one that I so cherish: my student loans). I'm just super glad to be out of my house (sold) and so close to JL. We spend so much time together. (And our dogs).

We drove into Aville this past weekend to see my parents and their two dogs, Bailey and Roscoe. They are such sweet dogs. She has Yorkshire Terriers. Dad took JL with him to play golf at the golf course where I practically grew up. I lettered in golf in high school and played with Dad a bit. My brother was much more talented at it, and in fact just won a Mercedes a couple of months ago when he hit a hole-in-one at a golf course. Unbelieveable, but I'm glad that someone in my family is getting blessed. I know Dad is doing well in the stock market... Mom seems happy, her cancer levels are going down, and I'm good too. We had a good visit. We went to an authentic italian restaurant Saturday night. Thus, the reason for the 3-miler this morning.
