Still lack the dresser, but it's a nice start. Hubby did such a good job... we'll have to celebrate all his hard work with a grilled steak tonight :). Seriously though, it feels good to see the room becoming more nursery themed. We've ordered the name to hang above the crib. Cannot wait for that, though the name isn't set in stone. Still waiting really to say what it is... though I'm sure some won't like it and some will... I think the one we're leaning toward is nice and definitely not a name he'll hate when he's older. Jeff threw out Cameron first months ago, and I said no to that one. Gender neutral names on a man are not my favorite. I like gender neutral for a girl, though. Strange. Then there is some old talk about Dakota - that Jeff has loved that name for awhile - and I had to say no to it too. It just sounds like Dakota Fanning or reminiscent of a little redneck boy. I know that's judgmental... but it's just the impression I get from it. Personally, I like Jackson, but it's not happening for a few unmentioned reasons. And I'm super excited not to be going with the newer "surnames as first names." A lot of people do that... use a last name as a first name. I just don't like the sound of it... and I guess a lot of the last names as first names sound like an elderly man to me. Suffice it to say that naming a child is difficult!
